International Conducting Master Class

General Information
The International Conducting Master Class 2007,
- with the Classic FM Radio Orchestra, will be held in Vienna, Austria and Sofia, Bulgaria from March 29 to April 4, 2007. The Master Class will begin in Vienna with instruction with piano accompaniment (March 29 31), and instruction with orchestra will follow in Sofia (April 1 - 3). The closing concert, with selected participants conducting the Classic FM Radio Orchestra, will be held on April 4 in Bulgaria Hall (the most important concert hall in Sofia) as a part of the European Music Festival 2007.
- The master class offers young conductors the opportunity to work with experienced faculty and with one of the best ensembles in Bulgaria.
- The purpose of the master class is to promote individual musical excellence and to develop and support conducting skills and talent.
- The participants will have the opportunity to rehearse the most important repertory currently asked for in major conducting competitions with a professional orchestra.

- Active participation is only possible for the entire course period.

- 6.Course Requirements:
- The Master Class is open for young conductors (age limit: 35 years), especially for those planning to participate in conducting competitions.
- 7.Fees:
- Active participants:
- Euro 1,200.-- (students from EU countries: Euro 800.-- )
- Passive auditing participants: Euro 250.--
- A maximum of 8 scholarships will be offered to students from new EU member countries.
- The confirmation of application for The International Conducting Master Class 2007 requires a pre-payment of Euro 250.--. This pre-payment will not be refunded in the case of cancellation after March 1, 2007.

- Applicants are requested to send, with the application form, a copy of their identity card or passport, their student identification (for students), and 2 passport photos. Students from non-EU countries studying in EU-countries are also requested to send a copy of their residence visa of the country they reside in, as well as a copy of their student identification with current validation. Information about the transfer from Vienna to Sofia and accommodation will be provided on request.
