About the Reprint
To mark the bicentenary of Anton Bruckner's birth in 2024, the Japanisch-Deutscher Musikfreunde has produced a limited reprint of the symphony volumes from the Old Bruckner Complete Edition. Each volume is limited to 50 copies.
The editions prepared by Haas, Oeser and Orel are identical in content to the orchestral parts currently in circulation, and are fully suitable for use in performance.
The full-size A4 conducting scores are approximately 1 cm smaller than Dover editions. Each volume includes the original prefaces, editorial and critical reports, and extensive music examples that have been omitted from recent reprints.

Please Note
- Symphony No. 1 is printed in original order: Vienna version (I/₂) followed by the Linz version (I/₁), bound together in a single volume.
- Symphony No. 3 has a different cover design (based on the original cover of the Oeser edition). The spine design is identical across all volumes. The Oeser edition's unusually wide original layout has been enlarged vertically to fit A4 format. The editorial report has been retyped from scratch, as the original printing was difficult to read.
- The content is based on scans of the pre-war Haas, Oeser, and Orel editions. Original publishers: Musikwissenschaftlicher Verlag Leipzig/Wien; Brucknerverlag Wiesbaden; VEB Breitkopf & Härtel Leipzig (post-war reprint).
- AI-assisted cleaning and deskewing has been applied where necessary, but some original printing imperfections — including distortion, fading, and occasional missing instrument labels — remain.
- Cover colours differ from the actual product. No publisher logo appears on the front cover.
- Shipping within Japan only. We are unable to ship internationally.
- All prices are exclusive of tax and shipping.
- Study-size scores are no longer available (sold out).
